General description

The ACC8OWIDRMod is a unit allowing to

Serial Number iButton

The dialog with the DS1990 is done digitaly (One Wire). Due to the digital nature of the dialog between the DS1990 and the ACC8OWIDRMod, the communication is very robust.

The DS1990s are connectd to the ACC8OWIDRMod on a screw connector (2 wires for each DS1990).

One can use the Maxim supports but magnetised special supports and magnetised DS1990 keys are also available which allows good mechanical position and a good contact.

The supports are commonly used for access control.

 

Modbus

Baud rate: 2400 bauds to 19200 bauds.

Address 1 to 15.

2 or 4 wires with or without termination resistor.

RTU or ASCII dialog.

Recognized commands: command 03 (read register(s))

The serial number (written on the DS1990) can be found by Reg2&Reg1&Reg0

          0: OK

          1: shorted

          2: no DS1990 on that channel

          3: CRC error
     4 to 7 Idem 0 to 3 but for the second DS1990
     8 to 11 Idem 0 to 3 but for the third DS1990
     12 to 15 Idem 0 to 3 but for the fourth DS1990
     16 to 19 Idem 0 to 3 but for the fifth DS1990
     20 to 23 Idem 0 to 3 but for the sixth DS1990
     24 to 27 Idem 0 to 3 but for the seventh DS1990
     28 to 31 Idem 0 to 3 but for the eighth DS1990
   
   

A channel on which there is no DS1990 or a problem returns serial number FFFFFFFFFFFF with the corresponding status (1, 2 ou 3).

 

Power supply:

The ACC8OWIDRMod is powered by a 8 to 35V DC voltage.
