Description

The SoFHMULC is a device allowing to manage a water heater solar panel equipment.

One temperature sensor is located in the water solar panel and another temperature sensor il located in the water tank.

The device manages 2 relays:

1) One pump control relay. This relay is activited when the difference between the panel temperature and the water tank temperature reaches a dip switch defined value.

2) One freeze or overheat alarm relay. This relay is activited when the panel water temperature is under -20°C or when the panel water temperature is over 120°C.

The SoFHMULC is a low cost version of the SoFHMU. Everything has been done to keep the cost as low as possible:

	5V DC power supply (we all have an all cell phone just waiting for a second life)
	No case, no display, no button.
	Easy mounting on any surface (isolating) by 4 screws.
	It is also possible to include the SoFHMULC into a DIN rail support.

Temperature measurement

In using temperature sensors, only the temperature information will be available.

The measurement of temperature is done with digital sensors communicating with the SoFHMULC. Due to the digital nature of the dialog between the sensor and the SoFHMULC, the communication is very robust. The precision does not depent on the wires length neither on the connections.

Compatible with all our program temperature sensors (based on DS18B20 or on Pt1000).

The sensors are connected to the SoFHMULC screw connectors.

The ouput relays

The SoFHMULC has 2 relay outputs (230V/3A).

1) The first relay is the pump command. This relay is activited when the difference between the panel temperature and the water tank temperature reaches a dip switches defined value (5°C, 8°C, 12°C, 20°C).

2) The second relay is the freeze or overheat alarm. This relay is activited when the panel water temperature is under -20°C or when the panel water temperature is over 120°C.

Every output hax :

	A common point.
	A NO point connected to the common point when the relay is activated.
	A spark suppression circuit between commun point and NO point.

The relays' contacts are connected to the SoFHMULC screw connectors.

Power supply:

The SoFHMULC is powered by a 5V DC voltage.
